A Little Birdie

I enjoyed my first walk at Frohring Meadows in several weeks today.  It's mostly still brown and dormant.  This was the only bird I saw, although I heard some redwing blackbirds.  It was 50 degrees and the rest of this week will be even warmer.  The only sign of flora life was the hemp dogbane that was letting loose.  I just read that all parts of the plant are poisonous and can cause cardiac arrest if ingested.  There was quite a bit of it around the meadow.  

The heron parents have arrived at the heron place.

My sleep button is still broken, so I catch up during the daytime as best as I can.  Be well. x
