L3 Day 78 Another cold day...quick local cycle ride round Teddingotn and local park. Three more local pubs.The Masons Arms ( in the blip) is a back street Victorian pub dating from about 1870. It was rescued from closure over 10 years ago and is now an unpretentious real ale pub. The Abercorn Arms is also in a back street built in 1863 and acquired by Young & Co in 1887 and is still a Young’s pub. It took its name fro. The Earls of Hamilton and Abercorn. The Hogarth is in Broad Street, it opened as The Britannia in 1839. In the 1960s it’s name was changed to The Hogarth and transferred from Charringtons to Fullers.
