Here we go again – Day 63

Our weather app said it was going to rain this morning but it didn't!  Went to Cramond and trekked around for a couple of hours because it was such a lovely day. I was in a very happy bouncy mood today. 'Jumped up' at about three people, all of whom didn't mind but Ann did. They thought I was the cutest, friendliest little collie pup ever. Why do you think I can't learn to keep all my four paws on the floor??

…..................And in other news.................. Ann and her friend are both really frustrated and upset that they still have absolutely no idea when they will get their Covid vaccines?! All they're hearing from friends/family in England is that people their age and younger (they're in the 60-65 age group) have already had the first vaccine and people who are in the 56-60 year age group can go online and book theirs.

Why is Scotland so far behind England in terms of everything to do with Covid?

Today Ann's friend emailed her MP and asked why she hadn't been vaccinated yet? It will be interesting to see if she gets a reply. Ann telephoned her doctors surgery but got an automated reply saying to phone NHS111 for anything to do with Covid. She phoned NHS111 and got an automated reply saying for anything Covid related go online. Grrrrrrrrr.................... There's NOTHING online. It just says vaccine information for the 50+ age group will be available soon. How do they define 'soon'? It's been saying that for at least a week! And why 50+? All of a sudden the 60-65 year olds seem to have been lumped in with the 50 year olds???

Ann doesn't think she's going to be vaccinated until at least April, but as we're planning to go to St Ives in April (to do 'essential' work on our house there before it's rented out for the summer), that means that Ann won't be vaccinated before she goes, so it's going to be May before she's done.

Why can't the whole of the UK just work together on this?.................................. It's an absolute nightmare keeping up with all the rules in England & Scotland. ….............And we haven't got any connections to Wales, but the rules are different there too. WHY? The UK is a very small island compared with the rest of the world. If we'd shut down anyone coming in from other countries a year ago and all worked together, we'd probably be OK by now.

Oh well, ho hum, I guess that's enough ranting for one day!!!

So here we are.......................... another Monday evening in lock down. Two episodes of 'Corrie' to watch and one of 'EastEnders'. ….........And then I suppose I'm going to be made to watch the 'Harry & Meghan Interview'.

Happy Monday evening Blippers. xxx
