Flowing in the right direction!

We welcomed our Year 11s back today - I'd forgotten how L O U D they are but it was certainly lovely walking past classrooms and actually seeing (and hearing!) people in them!

I drive over the River Ouse every day on my way to (and from) work and today all sorts of water-related phrases popped into my head: ‘Many rivers to cross’, ‘Come hell or high water’, ‘The tide is turning’, ‘Keep your head above water’, ‘Building bridges’, ‘In full flow’...

Although life will never be the same for many, hopefully for most of us the events of the past year will soon seem like just water under the bridge...
