International Women’s Day

I bought this Batik picture when we cycled in South Africa in 2008 and I thought to blip it as a tribute on International Women’s Day, to all the women worldwide whatever their circumstances.

We women in the west have fought for freedom and most of us have it but there is a huge way to go in cultures where the female is a chattel of men and has no voice. Why it’s taking thousands of years to get equality with them is a mystery to me.

Wow! Without getting into any heated discussion, hasn’t Oprah Winfrey’s interview been a corker?
Poor old Queenie, she doesn’t have her sorrows to seek at the moment. However Harry and Meghan must be feeling relieved that finally they’ve spat out all their grievances publicly to the whole wide world.
