Time distortion
“And after all it’s only one more sleep ‘til Schoolmas…”
My fellow home-schooling parents: we did it (again). They are going back (again).
It has been lovely to see how excited all three of my offspring are at their return to the school yard tomorrow. Even The Eldest who is only popping in for the covid test, is excited at the prospect of gearing up again. I’m pleased with and proud of them all, so had a rare glass of wine with dinner tonight in mini-celebration.
This followed a day where we visited Grange again for a kick about on the five-a-side pitch and had a quick scoot around the skate park. It was sooooo quiet. I know this area needs and thrives on the tourist trade, but man, it is nice without them sometimes!
Today’s blip is from the empty prom and is a photographic representation of how I perceive time at this point in the pandemic. Whilst linear it has also been bent which somehow results in the entire passage of lockdown moving slowly but the daily parts of it appearing to move at a greater speed. It makes no sense whatsoever, but is fascinating to observe.
Thanks for the love shown to yesterday’s image, I showed the children the sketch, I was looking to copy and they seemed to enjoy it. This lead to a viewing of The Two Ronnies ‘Four Candles’ because, well, why not?
Hope you’ve all had a great weekend!
Stay healthy.
