Spring?

I am not sure if spring is here yet...but this weekend felt like spring.

This has been a really long winter for me. I hit a low a few months ago and for a while things were very far from great. They were miserable actually. Burnt bridges and bad decisions. For a while winter was a nightmare for me.

But things have been getting much better for me. I have surrounded myself with the right people, have gotten more involved in things that are important to me. I challenged myself to really be a part of this culture and city.

This cliche picture of flowers coming out really does make me think of a new start. I was so caught up in what went wrong and what was bad about my being here(hence starting this journal). I am okay with what happened here, I am okay with the bad winter because it showed me a lot and I learned from it.

I am thankful for the lessons learned and more importantly, I am thankful for a fresh start with the right people and the right perspective.

And if it is still winter here in Istanbul-oh well-today still felt like spring and the message still applies.
