The end of the day
It was suddenly a sunny afternoon and a lovely sunset. This was taken from a top window and you can see why we just don't get to see sunsets at their best - too many trees, hills . . . and telegraph poles!
Last night
The Escape Room game was really good, enjoyed by all. We had decided that a collaborative one would be best, rather than a more competitive one, and our daughter had chosen very well. We all had to log in at the website and then it was like being in a video game, taking place in the murky depths of a US underground station. We were solving a murder and wandered around finding bits of evidence and solving puzzles that would allow us to open lockers, doors etc. Then we had to put all the clues together and solve the case. The great thing was that we were doing it together, so although each team wandered around independently, all findings and solutions were shared. The young ones were very good at the solving of problems and it suited Maisie very well as a lot of them were number based. We could talk to each other in a chat section and it was interesting listening to the girls deciding how to solve some of the puzzles. We could also ask for hints if we were really stuck. It took us an hour and a quarter to solve it, but we managed it. Great fun. I would recommend it, but definitely suited to adults and older children. (virtualescaping.com)
