First day of (puppy) school
Ohhhh this little man had a big day today!
Last week, Denmark started a slow re-opening after our latest lockdown, which has lasted since before Christmas. We can gather up to 5 people at a time except at clubs and sports, where we can gather up to 25 people as long as it is outdoors. This meant that our dog club could start their puppy class today and I was so excited to take Xmas.
Xmas is a true lockdown puppy, who hasn't met that many people or dogs - except for close friends and their dogs... So it was a big thing for him to meet 10 new dogs and their owners. At first he barked a little and felt uncertain, but he soon realized that we were going to train and have fun and then he didn't care about anything else.
Xmas is very different from Tango. Tango loves people and dogs. Xmas is fine with them being there, but he doesn't want to talk to them. He just wants to do his thing with me. We call him a Badass Mummy's Boy, because he is full of attitude, but really a mummy's boy.
He did some excellent exercises. I was impressed by him. He worked just as well as if he been in his usual training hall and then he got cold and didn't want to do anything more, so I picked him up and held him under my coat for a little while (see extra - our first puppy class selfie).
After puppy class, I took Gollum and Tango for a walk in the park across the street, whilst Xmas had a nap in the car. Tango rolled in goose poo!
After our walk, we drove to Helle's and met with her for more training. Xmas slept in the car whilst Tango and Gollum did their training and then Xmas got to do a little bit - just to show Helle what we have been working on since we last met.
The dogs got to play all afternoon, whilst Helle and I had other fun projects.
My main picture is Xmas by the end of the day. He put himself in tone of the crates and went to sleep. He has had a very big day! First day of school!
See you tomorrow
