Sparrows revenge!

With the last couple of days being milder, yesterday I decide to put these polyanthus plants outside. This morning they looked like this! All the pretty, pink flowers, the developing buds and the leaves had been pecked to pieces by the blasted sparrows!

Okay, we've chopped a couple of feet off the top of one of their favourite hedges, but there are plenty more around to choose from. We also provide them with seeds, fat balls and handsome nest boxes.

They do it every year! You would think I would remember, but I don't!
