Frozen Lake
Day 3 - Praz De Lys... More tears! My friends got me up a blue run they thought I could master after the day before successess, up the MASSIVE STEEP ski lift, *shudder* we got the top, the view was incredible! .. (and the view nearly made the blip, but too similar to yesterdays, just better.) We start to ski, ahh all seems okay, I look up, and urm, WTF I see the steepest thing, skirted along the bit I was on, with no fences and what looked like sheer drops on either side and the panic of what I could see coming set in. I got to the edge where everyone had waited for me and I froze... then came the tears, more freezing and then some side slippage that took forever... hummm felt like an idiot, but managed to get down, even if it wasn't technically skiing. The rest of the day was fantastic, went on more ski lifts and got the hang of them, went down some easier blues and really enjoyed them, including one of the runs which became my favourite of the holiday which by the end could fly down.
We finished off our day with a trip to the lake with the promise of a hot chocolate at the end of it. I did a snow angle on the frozen lake which was fun. Jo bought along my SLR but sadly the batteries were separate in my bag, but pleased that I got this shot with my compact. That is Jo in the picture.
