Kebab man
Took an evening stroll to the Lama Temple area of old Beijing. The mission, to soak in the local atmosphere and buy some pu'er tea. The road was quiet as all the little Buddhist stalls were shutting shop for the night. The scent of burning incense still strong in the air, with the golds and reds of Buddhist trinkets lighting up the darkened sidewalk.
As the temples closed their gates, the local kebab or chuan'r man was just starting his shift. Two early customers were eagerly awaiting their delicious barbecued lamb skewers, flavoured by the special combination of salt, cumin and chilli. A local favourite of Beijingers and myself.
