A Close Up

I'm afraid by the time I picked up a camera, most of the day had already gone.  I grabbed the extension tubes and did a little bit of macro.

One of the greatest pleasures work has given me over the years is the opportunity to visit factories and see how things are made.  As you might imagine I am an avid viewer of 'Inside the Factory' on TV.  I was aware cutlery would either be cast or pressed, but from what I can see in this image, it appears the serrations are ground into the edge afterwards.
