Weekend
The week flew by! It seems I’ve been choosing between chilly landscapes and Felix blips lately. Sorry for more trees, but the color in the sky was pretty tonight.
I heard a radio story today about the soon-to-emerge 17 year cicadas. This is a periodic plague phenomenon special to the Mid-Atlantic/DC area. Come May, the cicada nymphs will make their way above ground and produce an almighty ringing, buzzing, sleighbell-shaking chorus. Seventeen years ago, daughter I. was in a stroller and the wheels would crunch through cicada bodies thick on the sidewalk.
With that delightful image, let me wish you a happy weekend.
