Harping On

A change of scenery for today. I have a few hobbies and a couple of passions apart from bikes. Top of the list is music, but this blip its not about my music. Today I went to a concert featuring the band called The Highlights who specialise in music from the 60's with some late 50's and early 70's now and again. During this years Fringe Festival they have been playing two different concerts. One of these is their popular Tribute to George Harrison, which by the way is a brilliant show well worth seeing if you get the chance. Todays performance was the last show of six to a packed house and the sixth standing ovation. Fantastic show.
The bands musical director and chief is Bruce Greenshields who is a long, long time friend of more years than we want to be reminded of. Bruce is shown here harping on about something.

I arrived a couple of hours before the show and took some shots of them setting up going through sound checks etc and later roamed around getting used to my new camera. All up I took 387 shots. I haven't had a chance tonight to look through them all but I am hoping to get a dozen good ones that the band can use. Unfortunately from a photographic point of view I was more interested in their sound equipment, new guitars & ukes rather than taking photographs.

Also I have started a new folio in my blipfolio for my musical interests. Only one pic in there at the moment but I will add to it over the next couple of days.
