A Tiny Bit Of Progress
Our weekly trip to Maine occurred today. It was beautifully sunny, but man oh man was it cold and windy!!!!
We arrived in Boothbay Harbor at around 10:00 this morning just in time to greet the painter who has been working on Portside. He was on his way out the door, on his way up to Greenville to spend the weekend snowmobiling! Ho hum.
After we delivered some things there, we drove to the Westport Island house (where no progress has been made in what feels like weeks ...). At least we got to enjoy our lunchtime sandwich in the sunny living room overlooking the river. Afterwards, we put together the bedroom dresser (a flat pack item delivered a while ago, that naturally arrived missing various key bits which we had to source), and also a bench that will go at the foot of the bed whenever we get one (see yesterday's rant). In triumph, I celebrated by unpacking the two lamps destined for the dresser top, and introduced them to their new home. I left the plastic covering on the lampshades for the time being in case of clumsy workmen in the future!
