One Last Time

During the past 12 months of working from home, my (Chris) employer has been looking at the property portfolio (as I'm sure many others have too). A number of sites that were not fully occupied before lockdown are now being exited, my local site being one of them. In the future I'll work from home and from other offices when required.

Today I visited the office, probably the last time I will ever go into this building. I've been based out of this (or the building next door) since the late 1980s, despite working for three different companies across that time. Whilst I've had extended periods in other offices up and down the country, this site has always been officially "home". I went in to clear my desk and collect stuff I wanted or needed to keep. It was strangely familiar whilst also being quite sad. I took a few pictures for myself inside just so I can remember. Onwards and upwards however as the future of work will be quite different.

A walk this evening topped up the steps and ensured another 10,000+ day, all good so far.
