The old fire station

We first had a fire tender in the late 1700s and it was kept in the Town Church. The architect John Wilson evicted it in 1822 when he was instrumental in designing internal improvements to the church. 
I don’t know where it lived between then and 1909 and indeed whether it moved directly from here to The Arsenal where the Fire and Rescue Service is now based.
More research needed to plug the gaps...
