Flower Friday.
It is Fridays, isn’t it?
Had to think for a moment before posting my Blip. Doesn’t seem a week since the last Flower Friday.
Decided to take a photo of the daffs outside the kitchen window. ( Think the windowsill needs a scrub!)
Still lots of buds to come out, so should last for a week or two.
We did see the sun first thing, but soon clouded over, and only 4C. Wrapped up well for our walk to collect some eggs from the farm. There was a short queue today. Must be because it is Friday.... shopping day. Only one person in the hut at a time.
We had a nice chat with a lady I haven’t seen for a while. I asked how her daughter was. I remember doing the wedding flowers for her back in 1984.
Apparently she got divorced recently, and is now remarried and living in Wetherby.
Her grandson, who is 26 is teaching English and music in China. She hasn’t seen him for over a year because his trip back home was cancelled due to Covid.
She lives on her own, and says enjoys having a chat with people when out on her daily walk.
Covid has certainly made everyone more friendly.
It’s Fish and Chip Friday, so a night off for me.
Looking forward to Kate Humble’s walk along a stretch of the South West Coast Path, tonight. Also Gregg Wallace’s Big Weekend in Yorkshire. What's the betting he visits Bettys!
