Light on the bay

A trip to Tobermory for an appointment and a quick look to see if the Sir David Attenborough was around, a message on fb thought the vessel would be there around 9.00. We didn’t see it and later spotted a post to say it was in Lochbuie bay and now heading for the Sound of Mull.

There is a food shop, Tobermory Stores on the opposite side of the road to the distillery and down a bit, which stocks all manner of goodies. During a busier time we can buy sheep’s cheese, coconut yogurt and a range of gluten free goodies. Although not in the last category we occasionally buy as a treat an almond croissant. They are good. I believe the shop owner buys then in frozen and cooks a small number of plain and almond each day. It’s pot luck when going in as to whether there are any left or not. Anyway, today was good with only two almond croissants left. She is also good at stocking local meat, cheese and vegetables and a good Selling Point are her soup of day, fresh coffee and huge scotch eggs, not my thing but apparently they are very popular.
