Here we go again – Day 59
Another bitterly cold day. Went down to Cramond to meet our friend Kay for a walk. The tide was all the way out so I got to play with my ball. I had a fabulous time chasing around after it; so much so that I kept having to flop down in the rock pools for a little cool down. The humans weren't flopping down anywhere. It was absolutely freezing. Ann says she can't wait until we can actually incorporate meeting friends for the dog walk with going for lunch. It would have been lovely to have popped in the 'Falls Cafe' for a warming bowl of soup.
….............Haven't a clue when that will even be possible again. Non-essential shops aren't due to open in Scotland until 26th April who wants to shop in a non-essential shop anyway and then 'Nicola' is hoping that we can move into Tier 3??!! Whoopee doo!!! NOT! There is absolutely no advantage to my human to being in Tier 3 whatsoever. She's still not going to be allowed to do any of her 'normal' stuff, though to be honest, after being locked up for almost a year, she's pretty much forgotten what her 'normal' stuff is.
…...............What we can't understand is........................ England has been far worse affected than Scotland throughout the whole of this pandemic and yet from the 12th April 2021 it's like the whole world (ie, England) is opening up again. Hospitality, hairdressers, etc. …..............And England is aiming to be 'back to normal' by 21st June 2021????????? ….....Ann is most definitely NOT a 'huggy' person. She hates people invading her personal space (except me of course) but do you know what?......................... her plan is to be back in Cornwall by 21st June and she will be wandering around town hugging everyone she knows......................... Just because she can!!!
Having said that; she still hasn't had her vaccine yet or even heard when she's getting it. And yet everyone she's spoken to in England (who is her age or even younger) has already had theirs or has had a letter inviting them to get one. Scotland just seems to be miles behind England in terms of everything in this pandemic. And whereas a year ago, Ann really admired Nicola Sturgeon, and thought she was doing the best for the country; now she just thinks Nicola is on a power trip. And that's not even mentioning the Nicola/Alex thing, which we haven't been watching.
Oh well, ho hum, onwards and upwards. We'll just continue doing what we've been doing for the last year........................ going on very long walks, drinking copious quantities of wine (my human not me, obv!!!) and watching c*** on TV all day long.
