A Squirrel and Her Shadow

Dear Diary,

The mornings have been cold but at least the sun has been shining making it feel a bit less arctic.  This is not Gaylord but I've seen him and he seems to be managing with his wonky foot but I still worry about him.  Our temperatures should begin to rise next week and that will be such a relief.  March can be a cruel and unpredictable month though so I will take each good day as it comes and be thankful.
