Busy’ish day.

Plumber called, was due tomorrow. A job had been cancelled, could he come today? Boiler’s annual service, and a new aerator tap fitted.

Lunch. Then out for a long walk and came across Mr B’s tennis pal up on the green by the Marriott.

Turned quite cold on the return home. Wished I’d worn gloves. A brisk walk and warmed up.

‘E’ upstairs sent down ½ bottle of an excellent M&S Recanati. We both agree on that one. Lovely to come home to, with the obligatory pack of crisps of course.

Now Portrait Artist of the Year semi-finals. A great watch, inspired to get the paints out. Next on is Banksy and the rise of outlaw art....
