The Rishton Arms.
On my walk this morning near the station I noticed some garden workers were carefully removing the ivy from the side of the Rishton Arms. It was planted several years ago, and gradually completely covered the sign.
The pub was recently purchased after being up for sale during the first two lockdowns.
It is popular with the locals because they serve good food there and screen football matches.
There are new solid wooden seats and tables at the front of the pub, awaiting loyal customers when the
weather gets warmer. Today is lovely and sunny but freezing cold. That does not deter Uncle Sam the ice cream seller, who optimistically comes around each afternoon!
Have a nice day blip friends and thanks for recent kind comments and stars.
My Mum continues to make steady progress.
