Looking for his mate

This Hadeda Ibis has been calling (and it has a raucous cry) all day. It has been flying around a small area, alighting on rooftops, walking on the ground, clearly agitated.
I googled and see that they are monogamous, so I can only think he's looking for his mate. One feels so helpless...wish I could help.
My blip plan for today was a sunset, but daughter P video called from New York...so luckily I had this photo. How I miss my kids, but technology helps to stay in touch.
Lots of thunder and lightning around, but no rain predicted.
From today we are down to level one, which means more freedom of movement - hopefully this won't lead to a spike in Covid infections.
Hard to believe it's been a year of the Corona virus.
