Gedding in Suffolk

Today we did a country walk of just under 11km starting and finishing in the village of Gedding. Some will recognise this name as being the home - in Gedding Hall - of former Rolling Stones bassist, Bill Wyman. This sign stands outside the entrance to the Hall, which dates back to the 15th Century. Bill bought Gedding Hall in 1968 and according to the Daily Mail, he bought it from "the godfather of the notorious Kray twins".

We actually started our walk at the equally ancient church of St Mary, from which the Hall is visible a short distance away across the fields. The church features in today's Extra Photo.
