St David's Day
Day 342 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic. First UK Vaccine 84 days ago. UK in full lockdown.
It's St David's Day (Patron Saint of Wales) and I had some bespoke furniture to collect from Hengoed and stopped nearby to take the photograph of The Old Colliery, Penallta, Nr Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly. The pits are all closed now but so iconic of the South Wales Valleys.
Getting home there was a letter from the NHS inviting me to book an online appointment. Amusing to see it was in 17 languages (but not Welsh) and the closest facility they could offer me was Bristol or Birmingham!!! It looks like the 60-65 age group will now have to wait a while as the priority is to give second doses to those 65 and above!
Our re-arranged flights from last year that we put to June, I've now changed to the end of August. Let's hope that's sufficient.
