Crocuses in the Park.
The weekend footfall in the park took its toll on the crocus bed. They looked so fresh, unbruised, unbroken and lovely just the other day when I didn't have my camera with me but I struggled to find a selection that looked as pristine as possible. A weekend ago an earlier batch had pushed through the grass just after the snow had cleared and a father with a toddler and a pushchair parked it right in the middle of the display and proceeded to play a game of chase with his child trampling all over them. I felt grumpy at the scene and the complete disregard and disrespect the parent had shown for the Community's shared space and wondered what chance that toddler might have to be taught respect.
