Marching on ....

A rather good start to the month - a perfect day to head up onto the moors. 

It was wonderful to make our way up to Loch a Choire (one of my favourite places and only 3 miles from the front door) which nestles under Ben y Vrackie (we saved that for another day).  We then continued around the Loch and made our way to the Bealach between Pitlochry and Killiekrankie before heading home. There were still a few patches of snow in places. 

This was the longest walk we've done this year and despite doing yoga stretches when I got back I suspect I may be slightly stiff tomorrow.

We also saw our first red squirrel of the year.
