Trick of the Eye

I've worked all day so far since about 5:30am with one thing and another and now don't feel like going out for a walk. I should, but I most likely will do online walking instead.I took this photo yesterday but have only really looked at it today. 

There were 11 grebes on the res early on yesterday morning. 5 pairs and one lonely 'croaker' trying to muscle in on the other pairs. They were all spoiling for a fight but went their separate ways in the end. This one made me smile as it looks as if it is pulling the rope...It isn't, it's lying down and hoping the male will do his stuff. He didn't, he just preened...
