Batailles De Fleurs

Today was the carnival flower parade or Batailles de Fleurs (battle of the flowers) along the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

Floats decorated with flowers and pretty girls depict the theme of the carnival - the five continents. The pretty girls throw flowers at the crowds.

It was a gloriously sunny day so the blue sky really enhanced all the bright colours from the flowers.

This shot caught my eye as the colours are so vibrant.
