Southend Sunset
I woke up just after 6.00 a.m. this morning and although it looked rather grey and cold outside, I decided to get the train to Leigh on Sea.
I walked quite a way, from Leigh, through Southend and as far as Shoeburyness. The sun decided to make an appearance right at the end of the day for a lovely sunset, after being cloudy all day. I took this shot with the little train running along the mile long pier, before the giant spacehopper of a sun went down though, so more of a satsuma sunset here. There were so many birds flying around in large flocks (is it called a murmuration? Where is that Bill Oddie?)
