Hellebore.

Another lovely spring day.   Sunday so as usual I had a slow start and a lie in.   Then I wandered round the garden intending to look for more signs of spring.  Instead I settled on this "Lenten Rose".  It is way the oldest of our small collection having come from "home" when my mother came to live with us after Dad died 37 years ago.

We have an ancient shed which if falling down and scheduled to be replaced this spring when the weather is more reliable.   One problem is that birds have a tendency to use it as a nest site so part of the afternoon was spent sealing it so there were no possible entries.  We also got started on clearing up the last years vegetation which is left to provide shelter for minibeasts over the worst of winter.
