The deer are hungry

And absolutely fearless when they come in the yard. Unfortunately they eat all the tulip buds that are coming up as well as the anemones. So I try to shoo them away, and to spray the very stinky stuff ‘deer be gone’. Today I did that an hour before we were to leave to visit friends. The bottle exploded in my face and in spite of a thorough washing with lots of soap, I kept smelling like an outhouse. So good thing that no hugs were allowed.
The weather was nice today and I managed to go for a walk of a mile into the forest which is quite a bit with the sore knees these days.
