The Starling in his courting clours.

Another day when I was spoiled for choice but the colour on this Starling made up my mind in the end.
This bird was some 200 feet away so even with my combination of Nikon D800+Sigma 150-500 in DX Mode,I was really pushing my luck to get a decent shot?
Well this is the better one of 4!

Technicals! Well I have already named the cam and lens.But the DX frame of 4800 x 3200 was cropped to 715 x 1073 1/125 sec. @ f 7.1 and ISO 100.I think under the circumstances I can say it is pretty sharp!
OH! And this is hand held by the way!
