Golden Valley - Wick

This is part of the view in the Golden Valley Local Nature Reserve (LNR) at Wick on the A420 just east of Bristol. We spotted a sign to it on the way home this afternoon and decided to explore. A gentle walk through the woodland, past the old Red Ochre works to a weir at the end, and then a stiff climb brought us out to a viewpoint across to a limestone quarry and this beautiful view. It was well worth the climb. We came back down on a much easier route!
