Parallel Bars (back blip for yesterday)

This is the set of railings that separates the landing in our house from the stairs, and is thus the view I usually have when waiting for the bathroom to become free.

Because I spend a lot of time looking at the railings, I sometimes pass the time by deliberately crossing my eyes slightly so that the railings I'm looking at in one eye overlap with the railings next to them in the other eye. This makes the railings appear closer than they actually are, an effect only spoilt when I reach out and try to actually touch the railings.
