The dropped stitch

The allotments, Buttquoy Place, Kirkwall

I'm doing rather well on my step count at the moment, with another afternoon spent walking round the streets of Kirkwall.

Peering over the wall into the allotment, I was really impressed to see how everyone is up to speed with their plots.  There were several folk working there today. There's lots of bare earth in evidence, newly dug and no weeds in sight.

Wideford Hill in the background: a fine view to enjoy when you take a breather from the digging.
