Love snowdrops
I am now playing catch up with a backlog. I am writing this on Feb 27th but the photo is from the correct date. Have not had the time or inclination to post due to grandson being ill with covid. Brief as I can be re the story - his oxygen levels dropped to 90% and a doctor sent him to hospiatl via ambulance to hospital for chest xray and bloods. He needed oxygen in the ambulance as his oxygen sats dropped to 90% but the hospital was turning him away and telling him he needed to wait for an appointment at the enarest Covid Treatment Centre. Only because he stood his ground did he get seen! Shocking.
He had a chest xray but no bloods. Xray was OK and they told him he may have COPD affecting his oxygen levels. Really? He is 20, slim, fit, and although asthmatic he has not needed an inhaler for a long time till he got covid.
He got a visit from someone from Oximetry at Home and a pulse oximeter to keep an eye on his levels and instructions as to when he needed to call 999, plus a steroid inhaler prescribed by his GP. Amazingly, he was a lot better a couple of days later! Now he has been back to normal a couple of days with sats around 98-100% and intends to go to work on Monday.
Feeling relieved.
