Whirlybird

As I took Jet out this morning my eyes turned skyward at the sound of rotating blades. I was surprised to see this helicopter so low near the castle. The extra shows it just above the tower on a level with the trees. We haven’t had much excitement in Pickering lately!

Dog walkers commented on it questioning its presence. I later found it had landed on the car park built on the old Trout fishing lake. Still no idea why it was there.

Stephen left for London via Manchester due to an East Coast line closure. He made the connection in Manchester but commented on the lack of mask compliance. Is it any wonder the reduction in cases has levelled off recently?   There are plenty of notices about wearing of masks but no enforcement! Still good to know he has arrived back home to his flat. The house seems very quiet.
