Alex the Great
We decided on a trip out to see the snowdrops at Cammo, a place I’d never been to despite only being five miles from our door. And indeed there were snowdrops. And muddy paths and a pond and a walled garden. And an old ruin. Sitting on a bench in a red coat, haw!
And then the main event, blimey, back from the dead was my old pal, the nation’s favourite ‘eck. He wasn’t pulling his punches.
…. some have argued that the blurring of the boundaries between party, government and the prosecution mean Scotland is in danger of becoming a failed state.
"I disagree," he says. "The Scottish civil service has not failed, its leadership has failed.
"The Crown Office has not failed, its leadership has failed.
"Scotland has not failed, its leadership has failed.”
Ooft! A strong charge. Who is he talking about? And if that leader was to step aside I wonder who he has in mind for the top job?
Right, that’s quite enough excitement, back to Friday night and The Great which we’re both loving. Huzzah!
