Camouflage

This was taken through a window, at a great distance, so the quality isn't ideal.  I spotted this juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk this morning and ran for my camera.  Fortunately, the tripod was handy, because I had to go down to 1/15 sec to eliminate as much noise as possible.  The hawk was in predatory mode, so he stayed still.  He also spent time pecking at the wet ground.  I have included a photo in extras, which I also used for ID.  I figure it's a juvenile red-shouldered because of the scattered dark feathers on the chest.  I could be wrong about that though.  I wonder how many times they're out there and I don't spot them because of nature's camouflage?
