The side of NZ that doesn't make it into the tourist brochures. We're just as bad, if not worse, than most places if you look under the covers. Surprisingly this is alongside where Te Araroa (NZ's long distance pathway) crosses under the main coast highway. Not many walkers this season obviously. It's tidal quite a way up this stream and might look a little better at high tide or not.
