Babbington Hospital

Hooray, I got my vaccine today at Babbington Hospital. This is our local cottage hospital that is all but closed now, unfortunately most of this building is empty. It's just not economical to run these days but fortunately it still houses a clinic and a large room suitable for probably its most important community contribution for years. The building started life as the Workhouse and I suspect its next function will be apartments although a new clinic is promised in a corner of the site, built on stilts as it can flood when the Derwent breaks its banks.
By the way the vaccine process ran like clockwork, Pfizer today. Well done all those volunteers ! Under 60's have also just started, great progress.
