Heat bank for the future

We are in an ideal situation to make the most of wood as our main source of heat. Not only do we have a wood burning stove which we light every day in winter but we also have a wood burning boiler for our hot water supply and central heating all year round. All this is fine as long as we
(especially N) are fit and active to gather, cut and store wood for the next few years. This pile is a snapshot of what N has gathered over the past few days and will probably be burned in about four to five years time. We think that this will be the time to Consider a different source of heat that is not quite so physically demanding. We will see what the future holds.
