Amaryllis

My amaryllis is getting ready to burst into bloom. This is an amaryllis The Husband found in a dumpster three years or so ago. It was one of those bulbs in red wax deals. It had bloomed, and someone tossed it out. He brought it home and I put it in a pot - and damned if it didn't bloom AGAIN that very spring. And then I stuck it outside for the summer, stuck it in relative dark and dry for a few months in the winter, started watering it again the next Jan/Feb and bingo, it bloomed. And then I did it all again last year. And now here we are at THIS year. It's definitely a one man's trash is another man's treasure situation!
