S142 Road to Khor Fakkan

We made a very spontaneous decision this morning and had a drive out. I suggested checking out the dam that we found last August. We've been meaning to go back during the winter but it just hasn't happened. It was slightly cooler today though, so we enjoyed seeing the changes on a road that we use to drive on every forty days when G did her visa runs.

G did the honours of taking loads of pictures from a fast-moving car. It was hard narrowing it down to one. We found a new road - the S142 which goes through some picturesque countryside. The dunes are what you imagine when you think of "desert".

We found the dam, as well as a cafe that we would love to have checked out, were it not a public holiday. The place was heaving! Great to see this new tourist site so popular. We will try and get back on a weekday while the temperature is relatively cool.

Home by 5:30 and there are several things I should have tackled, but in the end, I just chilled and looked at/edited nearly a hundred pictures!
