Louth Town Hall

A magnificent mid-19c structure but this is the best view that can be obtained. The road has been closed because part of the structure fell off yesterday.

The ballroom boasts a famous Compton organ and was the scene for our #2 daughter's wedding reception 21 years ago. 

Now abandonned by local authorities, it is run by an enthusistic community company which organises concerts and lets out rooms for art, pottery and exercise classes, choir rehearsals and regular lunch preparation sessions for people with learning difficulties.
