Death Throes

I knew that these tulips would come good in their death throes, the purple ones especially.
I did have a circuitous walk this morning before my coffee break at the dining room table, but with the sun shining through all the windows highlighting my slobbish housewifery, I spent a pleasant day faffing about, moving dust from pillar to post.

I also more importantly pumped up the tyres on my bikes with a view to checking out the local potholes at some time in the near future. The latter were atrocious before autumn so goodness knows what they are like now after the ice and snow.
The Council have been busy closing roads and making cycle lanes with barriers on other ones too encourage more people on to bikes. I think the potholes are more of a deterrent than the traffic, but since they are usually to be found in the cycle lanes at least in trying to avoid them we won’t be in danger of being run over.
