Not a postcard !

There are four of these 150 ton Titan cranes on the River Clyde. This one at Whiteinch on the northbank was built in 1920 at the site of the Barclay Curle shipyard and North British Diesel Engine Works. It has been redundant for 60 years and is pretty inaccessible unlike its upriver sister at Finnieston beside the concert halls and science centre. The photo was taken from downriver Braehead on the southbank where we had a walk in warm sunshine.
